St. Ann’s English Medium Public School, Vellamunda (SAPS) established on 2nd June 2003 is run by the Arch Diocese of Kottayam. Our aim is a ‘Feel Free’ System of education which is liberal and comprehensive to both boys and girls. We intend to draw out the innate capabilities and talents of the children and develop them so as to bring them to standard worthy of our intellectural, physical and spiritual heritage. We also given due importance to the moral education of the children and inculcate in them a strong civic sense.
General Rules
1. The School hours are from 9.30 am to 3.50 pm
2. Students should come to the school neat and clean with the prescribed uniform
3. They must be in their respective classes at least fifteen minutes before the assembly. Students who come to school late, will not be allowed to the class without the permission of the principal.
4. Every absent must be entered in the leave record pages of the hand book and signed by the parents.
5. Students are not permitted to wear ornaments valuable wrist watches, etc... in the school. The school does not own any responsiblity for the loss of money, jewellery, watches, books etc.
6. Parents shall not visit their children or teachers directly during class hours. If parents have to meet either, it should be done with due permission of the Principal
7. No Students are allowed to leave the campus without the permission of the principal during working hours.
8. Students are expected to behave well at all times both inside and outside the school.
9. Students should keep their class rooms neat and clean, whisling, shouting, throwing things at one another are strictly forbidden.
10. Every one must get acquainted with the rules and regulations of the school given in this handbook besides the timely instructions given by the authorities through public announcement or by notices issued.
11. Cleanliness is next to holiness. The class rooms, corridors and the school premises shall be kept neat and clean. No littering is expected. Waste paper or other waste materials must always be thrown into the waste bins provided. They may always take care that the display boards, walls, furniture, black-boards, shelves etc.. are kept neat and in order.
12. Students and the staff are expected to speak only in English once they enter the school campus except in language classes.
13. The handbook issued to every student at the beginning of the year is to be kept neat and tidy all through the year and to be brought to school everyday. Once lost new one has to be collected from the office, but only with special permission of the Principal on the recommendation of the class teacher. It is the important document of the student’s career, conduct and studies in the school for the year and hence is not to be replaced easily.
